Your PT2200 P-touch will allow you to create labels and stamps for any need. Its versatility enables you to design custom TZe labels by choosing from a variety of frame designs and from many characters sizes and styles. In addition, the five tape widths (1/4” (6 mm), 3/8” (9 mm), 1/2” (12 mm), 3/4” (18 mm) and 1” (24 mm)) and variety of tz tape colors allow you to print personalized Brother labels, useful for color-coded filing. With the Stamp function, you can quickly and easily make stamps for reusable pre-inked stamp holders. You no longer have to worry about urgent tasks that require professional printing. In the office, the factory, the lab and the home, the quality and performance of the P-touch 2200/2210 makes it an extremely practical machine. Finally, as you may want to refer to this User’s Guide occasionally, we suggest that you keep it in a handy place. (The PT-2200 and the PT-2210 models are equipped with the same functions; however, only the PT-2210 included with a carrying case and AC adapter.)
The Brother PT-2200 uses the Brother TZe tape series and it will use the following label types:
Brother P-touch Standard Laminated TZe Tapes: Brother Standard laminated TZe tapes stick to virtually any surface and are durable enough to withstand scrapes and abrasions. Because Brother p-touch TZ tapes are water resistant, they can be used outdoors, as well as indoors. They shrug off spills of any kind; from water, to oil, to chemicals and won't fade under harsh UV rays. These PT2200 p-touch printer labels stay on through hot and cold environments from freezers to microwaves - nothing sticks like a Brother p-touch TZe tape. Brother P-touch TZe Specialty Tapes: Brother Specialty TZe tapes are perfect for different types of labeling jobs when using your PT2200 printer. The TZeFX series is excellent for wrapping around an item, perfect for labeling cylindrical surfaces such as cables, PVC piping, etc. and best suited for wire wrapping and flagging textured and hard to stick surfaces. Then there's the TZeAF tapes that contain acid free adhesive which are great for photos. Brother also has an Iron On p-touch tape, a temper evident security tape and ptouch head cleaning cartridges. Brother P-touch TZES Extra Strength Adhesive Tapes: You’ll find using Brother Extra strength adhesive labels with your PT-2200 are perfect for a wide range of surfaces as well as different types of environments. If you are looking to label rough or textured surfaces then you'll want to use this type of label. These adhesive backed labels have a stronger adhesive backing that has twice the adhesive strength than the standard tapes.
